The Devil Wears Prada
The Devil Wears Prada is a new musical on at the West End's Dominion Theatre from 24th October 2024 to 31st May 2025, a huge treat for anyone who adored the 2006 movie of the same name. The movie was directed by David Frankel with screenplay by Aline Brosh McKenna, itself based on the 2003 novel by Lauren Weisberger and starring Meryl Streep as the couture magazine editor and superbitch Miranda Priestly. The story? An aspiring writer gets a fabulous job working for the magazine editor from hell, and soon discovers exactly what kind of person she wants to be.
The creative team for the new musical, described as a 'powerhouse', includes music by the Oscar and Grammy Award winner Elton John, the Tony Award-winning director Jerry Mitchell who gave us Legally Blonde, Pretty Woman and Kinky Boots, along with lyrics by Shaina Taub and book by Kate Wetherhead. The magic is directed and choreographed by Jerry Mitchell with set design by Tim Hatley, costume design by Gregg Barnes, lighting design by Bruno Poet, sound design by Gareth Owen, and casting by Jill Green CDG. It's time to dress up, talk the talk, walk the walk, and fall in love with this shockingly good story. Joyful, funny and uber-glamorous – we guarantee it's going to be amazing.

That's All! Love it, all the best lines from the movie and some great songs. The cast are all amazing beautiful power singers. The costumes were so chic. The only thing missing was a nod to the original movie sound track.

“Emily” stole the show The show, staging, music, everything was fantastic but the stand out performance for us was Amy Di Bartolomeo who played the part of Emily (1st assistant) she was funny but kept a dead pan face, her voice was amazing, and she really kept to the character of Emily in the film.
Well done Amy.
Tge show was excellent overall but Amy really did stand out.

Energetic show Unfortunately the diction/accent was not always clear making the plot, on occasions, difficult to follow.
Everyone was lively and committed and made the overall experience good.
Also please start on time as it makes for an anxious time knowing you only have a short window to get your hourly train or face standing on a cold station for another hour. We made the train but had to run quite a bit and that extra 5 minutes would have helped!

Great feel good show A fantastic show that stays true to the film.
The lighting, costumes, choreography and music are great. The added extras of clothes on display, photo opportunities are a nice extra touch.
My only complaint is some seats cannot see the stage fully. I’ve sat mid stalls and front row circle and neither gave me full views which as full price tickets is disappointing

The devil in London I think I have been spoiled by seeing the film a few years ago and so whilst the show was good it did not fill me with the wow factor. Some good singing but the music felt a bit predictable. Enjoyed the characters throughout and some great energy in the cast. One particular blonde lady who was standing half way up the stairs during a big song in the first act had an outstanding voice. Really made me look for her.

Good stage version with some missed chances This show is entertaining, whether you know the film or not. I like the music (Elton John), the three leading ladies (including Debbie Kurup) were very good, Matt Henry as Nigel rather disappointing (not funny at all, seemed to take it too easy). Some points in the story were not set to the point, like Andy´s first time dressed in the new style, focus wasn´t always set well, and the choreography could have been more glamourous. But altogether it is a recommendable show.

nice music, voices, dancers, costumes the comparison with the film is unavoidable and the skill of the cast of the film is unattainable but, the above said, there is a fantastic voice of Andy, excellent acting of Emily, a little underwhelming Miranda, good costumes (except most of the ones for Andy), good dancers but, above all, good Music, thanks Mr. Elton!

Remarkably Fun !! I remember when Vanessa Williams became Miss America in 1984. Seeing her today was such a vacation highlight and truly showcased and exemplified her many talents. We loved the entire cast and recommend this show highly to anyone and everyone!! Happy New Year everyone!!

Spectacular!! Funny and amazing music by Elton John We had the most amazing time! Being ion the front road of seats was fascinating, the cast is formidable! The voices and the whole show, one of the best musicals I have seeing lately. Very true to the film, funny, vibrant, with all the phrases you remember if you are a fan of the original. Sensational Londons West End never fails to impress. Having attended musicals in London for forty years you have to go and watch this amazing cast of The Devil Wears Prada.
Such a talented group of individuals who work their socks off to give you nearly two and half hours of pure entertainment.

Disappointing. From such an iconic movie to an average, unimaginative musical - this show missed an opportunity. Elton John’s music too predictable, formulaic & with few shifts in emotion. Excellent vocal performances but the score let this down massively. Enjoyable - but only just.
