The Devil Wears Prada

The Devil Wears Prada is a new musical on at the West End's Dominion Theatre from 24th October 2024 to 31^st May 2025, a huge treat for anyone who adored the 2006 movie of the same name. The movie was directed by David Frankel with screenplay by Aline Brosh McKenna, itself based on the 2003 novel by Lauren Weisberger and starring Meryl Streep as the couture magazine editor and superbitch Miranda Priestly. The story? An aspiring writer gets a fabulous job working for the magazine editor from hell, and soon discovers exactly what kind of person she wants to be.

The creative team for the new musical, described as a 'powerhouse', includes music by the Oscar and Grammy Award winner Elton John, the Tony Award-winning director Jerry Mitchell who gave us Legally Blonde, Pretty Woman and Kinky Boots, along with lyrics by Shaina Taub and book by Kate Wetherhead. The magic is directed and choreographed by Jerry Mitchell with set design by Tim Hatley, costume design by Gregg Barnes, lighting design by Bruno Poet, sound design by Gareth Owen, and casting by Jill Green CDG.
