Big The Musical

It's Big the Musical, and it is going to be REALLY BIG! If you loved the quirky rom-com-adventure movie Big, starring Tom Hanks as young Josh Baskin, you'll really love this spectacularly good musical based on the 1988 film. Make your way to the magnificent Dominion theatre to enjoy a show that has already wowed audiences in Plymouth and Dublin, and stars the excellent Jay McGuiness from the British-Irish boyband, The Wanted. Big the Musical features music by David Shire and lyrics by Richard Maltby Jr. and this brand new production is directed and choreographed by Morgan Young.

The story? Josh Baskin is bored and fed up. He thinks life as a child is terrible, and he can't wait to grow older. When his wish comes true thanks to a mysterious fairground attraction, he becomes a twelve year old boy trapped in a thirty year old man's body. Josh soon realises the adult world is complicated, illogical, disturbing and actually nowhere near as much fun as being small, even though he gets a cool job with a toy maker, gets to test all the new toys, and one of his colleagues almost falls in love with him. How will Josh cope with this brave new world, and will he ever make it back to childhood?
